"The Elephant in the Room"

On tonight's episode of The Hills, Kristin is still in the dark about her and Brody's relationship. He flirts with her constantly and always has her back, but also has a crush on Audrina.

Kristin and Brody enjoy a nice day at the beach and discuss all that's been going on. Kristin is over all of the drama that Stephanie has created and is thankful that Brody supported her through the whole thing. Kristin brings up Audrina and her new man Ryan Cabrera, and Brody gets a little distant. He doesn't understand why she would be with him and admits wanting to hook up with her if he had the chance. Whether he is hung up on her or not, it doesn't stop him from hugging up with Kristin on the beach.  

Over in Pratt world, Heidi is planning a big birthday blowout for her six year-old neighbor, Enzo. Spencer isn't too happy about it and doesn't understand why Heidi is planning all this stuff for Enzo instead of Enzo's mother.

Brody and some of his guy friends hang out and they ask him about his relationships. He explains that he likes Kristin as a friend, but he's kinda already been there and done that. As far as Audrina, they have chemistry, but he's not settling on any particular girl.

Brody, Kristin and the gang hang out and go bowling. Brody and Kristin are getting pretty cozy and very flirtatious. Kristin's friend asks what's up with Kristin and Brody but Kristin is completely in the dark. Brody is giving mixed messages. He is flirting with her but still treating her like they're just friends. Audrina and Ryan Cabrera show up and although Audrina tells Ryan that there was nothing going on between her and Brody, their extra-long embrace before she leaves suggests differently.

Kristin and Audrina go shopping and talk about Audrina's relationship with Ryan. She really likes him and their chemistry but she is ready for "the talk." She wants to make things official and have Ryan commit to a relationship. Kristin and Audrina skip out on going to Enzo's party. They want to see Heidi, but don't want to deal with control-freak Spencer.

Heidi's party for Enzo turns out to be ridiculous display of excess. I have never seen a petting zoo with a full-grown elephant. And Spencer who was originally against the idea admits that he is having the time of his life. He is enjoying being at a party where there is no one he wants kill, like Stephanie or Heidi's mom. Spencer then goes on a rant about how much he hates Heidi's mother and how awful she has been to Heidi after she got her surgery. When Holly, Heidi's sister steps in to defend her mom, Spencer threatened to carry her off his property if she said anything else about her.

Audrina and Ryan go out to dinner and Audrina prepares to bring up the relationship talk. Audrina asks Ryan if they are exclusive. Ryan explains that ever since they started dating he hasn't been thinking about another girl and he is very happy in their relationship.

Across town Brody and Heidi go out for a drink. Brody explains all of the craziness that went down at Enzo's birthday party. While they are out Audrina starts texting Brody. Kristin point blank asks if he hooked up with her. Brody just smirks and doesn't answer.

After the party, Holly comes over to speak to the Pratts. Holly explains how disrespected she felt at Enzo's birthday party. Spencer doesn't think he was in the wrong at all. He tells Holly that what he actually said was much better than what he was thinking in his head. Spencer says how emotional he has been lately and that he says that he feels. And for the next minute he does just that, he explodes at Holly talking about his spirituality and God. And when Holly interjects to explain how unspiritual he is being he calls Holly a liar and tells her that she is going to burn in hell for what she is doing and he storms out.

Holly breaks down crying and tells Heidi how distant she feels from her because Spencer is always around. Spencer scares her (which is completely understood). It seems that things are finally getting through to Heidi how crazy things have become because she is sick of how things are too.

The Hills airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on MTV.
