The Biggest Loser 10: Season Finale Recap

The Biggest Loser 10

Last night on The Biggest Loser: Pay It Forward, it was the finale we've all been waiting for. Did Frado, Patrick and Brendan's plan pay off in their quest to win the show? Could Ada or Elizabeth come from behind and nail a victory? All those questions would be answered in the following two hours.

After a quick recap of the season, Alison gets to the first mystery of the night: who won America's vote. Between Ada and Elizabeth, Alison says one got the "overwhelming majority," which turned out to be (surprise, surprise) Ada. So, Elizabeth was put into the at-home prize contention pool while Ada was left to stand in the final three.

Next announcement: there will be four trainers next season and one of the biggest losers will be a former Olympic gold medalist. We don't know what will be in store for those who pick the new trainers, but what has been said is that this upcoming season will be my favorite, Jillian Michaels', last season, so perhaps they're auditioning for new blood.

Finally, the weigh-ins began, and the at-home weigh-ins were as follows:

Mark: -213 (-50.59%)
Rick: -158 (-47.14%)
Adam: -182 (-45.27%)
Jesse: -166 (-44.99%)
Aaron: -172 (-36.75%)
Lisa: -97 (-33.68%)
Anna: -109 (-33.03%)
Jessica: -92 (-32.62%)
Brendan: -117 (-32.32%)
Elizabeth: -71 (-29.10%)
Burgandy: -64 (-27.71%)
Tina: -72 (-27.38%)
Sophia: -65 (-23.90%)
Allie: -74 (-22.98%)

With that, Mark takes home the $100,000 prize and, well, the pride that he could have beat anyone on the ranch. Now, with Frado, Ada and Patrick on the stage, it's the moment of truth: who won, and did they beat Mark? Because Frado won the last weigh-in, he picked the order: himself, Ada, then Patrick. The results:

Patrick: -181 (-45.25%) [4th]
Frado: -162 (-44.14%) [6th]
Ada: -99 (-38.37%) [7th]

Patrick barely edges out Frado for the grand prize in a well-deserved weigh-off! However, some interesting things to note. One, Patrick only came in fourth place overall, showing that, this time, strategy won out. Could it come into play for future seasons? Two, like the beginning of this season, Ada was the only woman to place in the top half. You go girl!

Until the next season, Biggest Loser fans. Two new trainers, a new location and a new batch of contestants!
