On this Monday I pass on a wise thought my Irish grandfather told me a long time ago: Don’t ever wrestle with a pig. You’ll both get dirty, but the pig will enjoy it. Certainly applies to life!
Christmas 2011 is finally over! Got the lights off the house and into the attic today, the last two steps. Now I have 10 months of non-Christmas to look forward to!
Thursday is the Irish day to send wisdom to your friends so here it is just for you: Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
Wishing you the best on this Wednesday with this thought: You don’t have to fear defeat if you believe it may reveal powers that you didn’t know you possessed. Now go get it!
There's no place like home after a long holiday. Happy 2012 to you all! I thought it might be fun to share the, "best quote 2011," my family provided this year. After every holiday, the writers in my family hand out funny awards to family members in the aftermath. We have lots of categories, one of mine being the best holiday quote. My award goes to my Aunt Debby. "My deluded friend and I were talking a couple of weeks before Christmas. She told me this time of year makes her remember her family's tree, sledding, and she can't get White Christmas out of her head. I laughed, and told her that was funny...because, and this time of year, I can't get the Barnum and Bailey's circus theme out of my head, and am filled with the urge to prove that an overweight 59 year old woman could outrun the superhuman Kenyans in an Olympic sprint. Just say, "family time!" It's great to be back. I hope you all had an amazing, blessed, and safe holiday. I love my family, but I'm glad to be home...back to peace, quiet, and even a callback to a casting! Friendship, love, and best wishes as 2012 begins!
