A Monday Irish thought for you: There is no distance too far between friends, for friendship gives wings to the heart! So True!

Sending you a special message this Sunday: They who are really good can never be unhappy. They who are really wise can never be perplexed. They who are really brave are never afraid.

I am sending you an Irish wish for your Sat.: As you slide down the banister of life, may the splinters never point in the wrong direction.

Auto-correct, T9, and predictive text is an evil invention. And, I think my auto-correct is learning to hate me. It chooses the most abstract words imaginable to replace normal words with. Sunstone = someone. Haiku = family. Rasputin = redemption. I'm apparently Jesus. And, every "d" word I type becomes, "dedtoys." I wasn't aware that was even a word. But, I didn't put it in, and I can't delete it. What is that, phone?! Technology, still as helpful as ever. I can handle my internet affairs on my smrt phone until I replace my computer. But I have to proofread everything, or the message I sent that was supposed to say, "Please accept my sympathies," is liable to become (and HAS), "Please accept my dinosaurs." Ugh. Can I just have an owl to deliver my messages? Haha! Have a great day!

On this Friday I will tell you something I have learned through experience: There are basically two types of people. People who accomplish things, and people who claim to have accomplished things. The first group is less crowded. Be in group one!

Well it is Thursday again, and it keeps showing up every 7 days: Remember, It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

A wise woman once told me: "No matter who you are or what you do, you'll always have both people who love you, and critics who don't. Don't let the praise go to your head, or the harsh words go to your heart. Stay true to yourself, and the ones who love you most, and you'll be successful in whatever you undertake." Just a thought for your Wednesday. Hope all is well!

Hey how are you doing this Wednesday? Sending you a thought for the day: True wisdom comes to each of us when we realize how little we understand about life, ourselves, and the world around us.

Another Irish quote for you on this Tuesday: A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes. Now that is very True!

On this Monday I pass on a wise thought my Irish grandfather told me a long time ago: Don’t ever wrestle with a pig. You’ll both get dirty, but the pig will enjoy it. Certainly applies to life!

On this cold rainy Sunday I pass on something I learned a long time ago: Advice is what we ask for when we already know the answer but wish we didn’t!

Okay. I have a question / observation after a couple months here. After sending a lot of messages here: Is there a glitch in the "human verification system," does it know I'm not human, does one plus one no longer equal two...or am I genuinely too dumb to add single digits? I get an error every time I send a new message. Hmm. Have a great day!

Facts: Every family on Earth is dysfunctional. And, everyone thinks their family is craziest. Here's my entry in family lunacy: The time is 9:00, New Years Eve. The hoard of children are bored of their zombie shooting game. What next? Naturally...the old childhood game of cops and robbers becomes survivors versus zombies. Makeup and all. After all, what new year can truly start unless you've been tasked with impersonating a zombie? And, as the artsy one...my task was, assemble cardboard stage, assign harmless weapons, do makeup I can easily clean later, lead my zombies, and recruit a cousin to lead the survivors. This was live action Left 4 Dead, and my job was to portray a special zombie who cries to let you know she's in the area. You tell me: were my tears and wailing an act, or insanity setting in, and the wails real? New Years' check list: impersonate a zombie to entertain a bunch of kids/teenagers...check. Haha! TGIF!

It's Friday so relax and enjoy your weekend with this in mind: The trouble with the rat race is that even if you win, you’re still a rat.

Thursday is the Irish day to send wisdom to your friends so here it is just for you: Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

There's no place like home after a long holiday. Happy 2012 to you all! I thought it might be fun to share the, "best quote 2011," my family provided this year. After every holiday, the writers in my family hand out funny awards to family members in the aftermath. We have lots of categories, one of mine being the best holiday quote. My award goes to my Aunt Debby. "My deluded friend and I were talking a couple of weeks before Christmas. She told me this time of year makes her remember her family's tree, sledding, and she can't get White Christmas out of her head. I laughed, and told her that was funny...because, and this time of year, I can't get the Barnum and Bailey's circus theme out of my head, and am filled with the urge to prove that an overweight 59 year old woman could outrun the superhuman Kenyans in an Olympic sprint. Just say, "family time!" It's great to be back. I hope you all had an amazing, blessed, and safe holiday. I love my family, but I'm glad to be home...back to peace, quiet, and even a callback to a casting! Friendship, love, and best wishes as 2012 begins!
