I wake up this morning and stumble to the bathroom to take a shower..I step in a nice pile of puppy poop..nothing like fresh poop on your bare feet to start your day...I am sure I will look back and laugh at this one day. Voted

poem of the day~ hope you enjoy it~ its called togerther~
just you and me,
holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes,
it’s been a while,
it’s been a long time;
lost in this madness of life,
closer but farther away,
from each other,
i don’t know what to do;
alone and lost,
this dream is all that keeps me alive,
keeps me and you alive,
waiting for the moment it becomes a reality;
counting the days,
to meet you on the other side,
high above the world,
over and over in my mind;
i close my eyes and i see you there,
i drift away to sleep and you are there,
waiting for me to escape reality and dive
into this dream, where you and me, together;
together, till the shining sun,
together, till madness rises again,
together, we will make this dream come true,
together sooner!

Despite all the time I've spent helping people find the beauty in themselves, even I battle with insecurity. I was struggling to capture a headshot for my profile, where I was smiling, and looked pretty, instead of creepy. I've always hated my smile...hence, why five years of local modeling hadn't provided a "pretty" headshot before. Just as I was growing frustrated, though, and was ready to give up...my dear husband chimed in to remind me that I AM beautiful, no matter how often I think I'm just creepy, and dwell on my insecurities. The lesson here: All of us, EVERYONE, has insecurities about something or other. Today, be kind to yourself. Instead of dismaying over crow's feet, pudgy thighs, or a smile that always looks forced...look in the mirror and give yourself a compliment. It all sounds very cliche, but I've seen positive affirmations work wonders. And, remember you have a friend here, with her forced-looking smile, and beautiful sapphire eyes. Good luck on your Monday - your votes are in!
Howdy, hope you had a good weekend. My Saturday article can be found at http://eyeontheparanormal.blogspot.com/2011/12/djinn-or-genie-are-they-real-or.html. Then I will be on the radio from 8-10 PM this coming Thurs. I'll have the link posted as soon as I get it. Voted
Thanks so much for stopping by and voting for me. How are you doing? Did you have a good Thanksgiving? Btw, I can't believe it's almost Christmas and soon New Years.
I'm trying to get better as getting on here and voting for people.
I was talking to a dear friend of mine about a hot issue in the country right now: Equal rights for the gay and lesbian community. He had this to say, and I thought it was worth sharing: "I don't like the stigma attached to the terms straight, gay, or bi, because people still assume being "straight" means you're a good wholesome person, but being gay or bi means there's something wrong with you. If you ask me, can't I just tell you I'm not picky and buy you a drink?" He's a great guy (bisexual) that really sees things to love in all of us...and I liked his thought above. Remember, hatred and prejudice are the two biggest things that hold us back. Today, practice tolerance. Just because someone else's political views, religious views, or sexual orientation is different from yours, if they're not hurting anyone, would it really hurt you to try to understand? Have a wonderful Sunday. Your votes are in!
