No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway for the human spirit. Have a great Tuesday. Your vote is in!
A person interested in success has to learn to view failure as a healthy, inevitable part of the process of getting to the top. Hang in there on this Monday and have a great week! Your vote is in!
Find something in life that you love doing. If you make a lot of money, that's a bonus, and if you don't, you still won't hate going to work. Have a great Friday and super weekend! Your vote is in.
It's Tuesday so May you have the hindsight to know where you have been, the foresight to know where you are going, and the insight to know when you have gone to far! Smile! Your vote is in.
Another one of my Irish Grandfather's saying for you on this Monday: Trust in yourself. Your perceptions are often far more accurate than you are willing to believe. Your vote is in!
Another adventure in cat ownership: I was on the phone with someone about a callback. Because I didn't want the cats interuppting, I went into my back room and closed the door. Sadly, the effort was in vain, because Persephone, with her determination to be a pain in the ass at every turn, began banging against the door and screaming louder than a police siren. Finally even the interviewer had to ask what was going on. Embarassed, I explained that I wasn't killing my cat. She's just a spoiled brat! Have a lovely Sunday! VAI.
Today's story: You're Doing it Wrong. Here in CO, we have an almost-forgotten rule of the roads, in the category of "mountain driving etiquette," which states: If you're at the front of a long line of cars on a single lane road, who want to go faster than you, you're to pull over and let them pass. I was driving one of those roads over the weekend, in one of those lines. The car at the front gets half credit for this attempt: He did let everyone pass. But, didn't pull over. Instead, he flipped on his hazzards, slammed to a stop in the middle of the road, and started gesturing with his arm for us to go around him!C+ for the effort. F for execution. Have a great Thursday! Of all the things I love about being a cat owner (i.e: slave), nothing quite gives me the same special feeling as coming home after a long, long day of work, to have to ask, quite seriously, "Have I been burglarized?" at the sight of the destruction that used to be a neatly ordered house. No, no...just the cats, making the most of the unchaperoned day! Have a great Tuesday! Voted!
Overestimating the enemy: When engaged in a war of words, and you find yourself consulting a book of psychological experiments to compose your counter-arguement, knowing full well your opponent can't even decipher a paragraph written in English, and not "text talk." Just a random thought for your Monday - hope it's a great one! VAI.
