Happily, The Real Housewives of Washington DC resumed tonight after a hiatus last week. We left off with the wine tasting on the last episode, which was such a tense place to leave off and then make us wait 2 weeks! Shame on you Bravo!
Stacie, Jason, Mary, Michaele and Tareq are sitting at the table tasting wine, and if you are a sober sally trying to follow their conversation, you can tell they are maybe drinking the wine and not just tasting it at this point. Mary digs when she realized Tareq had something to say and it turns out he is somewhat, in a roundabout way, accusing Lolly of being an accomplice in an auto and property theft of his that the FBI is investigating.
At some point, Stacie and Jason snap and realize that the Salahi’s are bogus at this point, while Mary is frustrated and calls Lolly out on it. Lolly doesn’t even know what the Salahi’s are talking about, and when Rich does some leg work, the family finds that the charges are nowhere to be found.
Lynda closes on her house in McLean, VA and her family loves it. She also has dinner with the Turner’s and Ebong and mentions that she was a victim of reverse racism. Again, jaws drop and eyeballs pop with this comment. Again, Real Housewives of DC talks about race, which is a common thread on this chapter of Housewives. Lynda also calls the Tareq Salahi a “whack job” and says the Salahi’s are living a farce.
Michaele has dinner with her assistant Jen, who called Cat out for being bitchy at the grape stomping. Jen seems especially glib about her comment.
Cat has lunch with Edwina Rogers, the lobbyist she met at the Salahi’s polo event. Edwina is a Republican lobbyist for healthcare reform and Cat just lights her up about healthcare. At one point, Edwina looks miserable, plastering a smile on her face when Cat calls paying for healthcare a “crime” but still invites her to a party she is having to discuss the issue more.
Cat wants to shake things up, so she goes to the party, which looks like the worst most stiff hotel mixer ever, dressed as Sarah Palin. It’s hilarious. The Salahi’s and The Turners are both at the party as well and have not seen each other since the altercation at the winery. They are cordial to each other but things have cooled between the couples. Michaele and Jen throw in some snotty comments about Cat’s costume, but when Cat confronts Jen for calling her a bitch, Jen says she is taking it too seriously and it was all in good fun. When Michaele tries to defend Jen, Cat calls her out too. Cat also makes it very clear that she does not want to be associated with the Salahi’s whatsoever.
Edwina never shows for her party, and is wheeled out on a gurney instead…wonder what happened?
